My Journey From “Falling Apart” to Finding the Path
Back to Me
“I was doing everything right — and still falling apart.”
As a Registered Nurse and Holistic Wellness Coach, I couldn’t explain the fog, fatigue, or tears. I was gaining weight, losing sleep, and disappearing from my own life. I was told it was “normal.” That I was “fine.” But I knew I wasn’t.
Then came the cancer scare. A sudden hysterectomy. And what followed was a total unraveling — physically, emotionally, and hormonally.
The real turning point? I stopped chasing quick fixes. And I started truly listening to my body.
I didn’t mean to become a menopause mentor. But when the system failed me, I found my own way forward. Now, I’m here to share it with you — because I know how lost this season can feel.
At 54, everything changed. The hysterectomy. The hormonal chaos. The fear. I was passed between specialists who either dismissed my concerns or didn’t know how to help. One even said, “I don’t deal with hormones.”
At 60, another practitioner told me, “You need to stop hormones altogether.” No real conversation. Just a rule.
I tried a bioidentical hormone clinic. At first, it felt like hope. But soon, I was overwhelmed with one-size-fits-all protocols, expensive supplements, and medications that only made things worse.
I felt unseen. Unheard. Invisible.
But I didn’t give up. I trusted my instincts. And eventually, I found a doctor who listened, tested, and treated the whole picture. It wasn’t perfect or fast. But we built something powerful. A path forward.
